About La Limyé Ministries in Haiti

God equips those he calls…when you step out in faith, He never abandons you.  So is the journey of Ellen Humerickhouse.

 

As a young girl, she felt His call to minister to the very young. This led her to participate in several mission trips, national and international, working with God’s ‘forgotten’ children.  It was during a mission trip to Haiti, Ellen found where God was leading her:  building a children's home for girls in this ravaged country. Ellen moved to Haiti at the age of 22, put her heart and soul into her calling establishing La Limyé Ministries; and initiated the building project. Today, Ellen and her staff care for 7 precious little girls each with their own heart wrenching story.  Miracles truly happen when the love of Christ fills the souls of those who answer his call.

Ellen soon recognized her adopted community needed more of God’s loving touch.  Her vision now includes building an elderly care/nursing home complete with a pavilion to hold community events/activities. She and her board of directors have started the planning phase and are excited to begin this journey….and you can help.

STAND In The GAP Charity has teamed with La Limyé Ministries to hold a fundraising charity auction and golf tournament to raise money and support Ellen’s dream. The goal is to raise $35,000.  Please support this effort with your time, talents, and resources to make Ellen’s dream come true.
